Q: I am having problems with Installation. Do You provide Help?

A: Yes. First, check with your hosting company to make sure they provide the Installation Requirements you need to install the script. They are:

  • OS: Unix, Linux, Windows NT/2000
  • WWW Server: Apache 1.3x+ or other
  • PHP: 4.0+
  • MySQL: 3.23.xx+
  • Setup Cron Job [Task Scheduler on Windows]

Second, refer to your ReadMe file located in the docs folder of your program. It will help you understand how to upload the files properly. We also keep a current ReadMe.txt file online.

If you have installed the script but are having problems understanding DynaPRIME - refer to our Getting Started page. This will take you step by step through the process.

Finally, if you are still having difficulties we provide full installation for only $20. Installation Help.

Q: I saved the HTML page but I can't view the Saved Feeds / HTML folder? Why?

A: Bug Fix

UPDATE: The HTML / XML bug 9-10-2006 has been fixed.
This should fix any problems yo may have had with saving only the HTML file and leaving the xml field blank [and vise versa].
Get your updated filed here
:

This problem is probably due to the HTML/XML bug detected 9-10-06. When saving your HTML pages, you initially needed to also save the xml file, whether you plan to use them or not.

To fix this problem,

  1. Go through all your Saved Feeds and save both an xml and html page.
  2. Once you have saved all your files, you will have to reset the CHMOD of your folder [ such as "feeds" to 755.

Example: you ask DynaPRIME to save your feeds to the FTP folder "feeds" on your site. The folder CHMOD needs to be 755 in order to view the information in the folder.

We are currently working on a bug fix for this problem. You will be informed via our RSS feed and can download here: Updates

Q: I copied and pasted the html code into a site but it doesn't seem to update for me.

A: You can't simply copy and paste the HTML into any site / folder and expect DynaPRIME to update it.  When you setup FTP Accounts, this is the information that tells DynaPRIME where to save your feeds. If you move the copy anywhere else, then you have just made a static page.

Here are some suggestions on how o use your saved feeds

  1. Link to the HTML page from your site. For example.  Your feeds are saved here : http://www.ow10.com/dynaprime/ . From your site create a link directly to the HTML page in your "dynaprime" folder - such as Click for Amazon Fiction

  2. Another option is to make a new page and use an iframe - such as: <IFRAME src http://www.ow10.com/dynaprime/amzfiction.html " width="800" height="800" scrolling="auto" frameborder="0"></iframe>

If you just take the HTML code that is generated [ such as amzfiction.html ] and then place the source code in another area other than the "dynaprime" folder [ the folder where you tell DynaPRIME to save it] then the page will not update because it is now a static page - not dynamic.

DynaPrime can only update if it knows where the update page is located.

Q: How can we use Dynaprime to store RSS feeds as html pages to my server so that online users view news/articles on my domain and not others?

A: DynaPrime is a content Builder and displays RSS feeds similar to "headline news" sites. There is no guarantee that this information will not be used in the same way on other sites.   However, the content is ever changing, so unlike static pages, they will show up in the search engines based on your Title and Desciption Tag. If you Optimize your pages, you will be picked up in the search engines based on your MetaTags.

For example, you design a site about Avian Flu.  The page that is created has 5 avian flu articles from the main RSS feed.  These articles change on a weekly basis - not enough time for the Search Engine to pick them up for a long term. However,  by writing the title tag to target the keywords that you want for Search Engine placement you establish your positioning for the keyword.

While the RSS feed content may change, the theme of the page will not. By using RSS feeds, you increase your "fresh" content, but still maintain a spiderable page.  However, you shouldn't rely solely on RSS feeds or any other form of content building for your site.  This tool just allows you to have good, quality, fresh and up-to-date content on your site as you continue to add your own static content.

Q: I want to upload my RSS feed to more than one site, can I do this?

A: Yes. You can upload as many RSS feeds and HTML pages to as many FTP's as you wish. There's no limit! Simply hold down the shift button and select more than one FTP when saving the feed.

--------------------------------

Q: Why do I keep getting a "FAILED" error when I try to save my Feed / HTML information?

A: There are several reasons that you may get an error. First, check to see if you meet all Installation Requirements.

  1. Make sure that you have the Correct Path for your FTP. Some sites are actually located in a folder called "www" or "public_html". This needs to be included when specifying the Folder/Directory.
  2. Make sure you named the name of the file you are saving. This is the first box in the Save File form

Q: I have a Mac Computer. Will this program still work?

A: Yes. This program is set to work directly from your server, so it doesn't matter what computer you own. Plus you can monitor your Feeds/HTML pages from any computer when you are away from home.
